R. Kelly Released From Hospital After Throat Surgery

CHICAGO — A spokesman for R. Kelly says the R&B singer is out of the hospital following throat surgery this week.
Spokesman Allan Mayer said Thursday that the 44-year-old left Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and is recuperating at his home in the city.
Mayer says it isn't clear when the Chicago native might be well enough to resume performing.
The Grammy-winning singer had complained of throat pain and was taken to the hospital on Tuesday. The same day, surgeons drained an abscess on one of his tonsils.

After seven years of marriage, Jennifer Lopez and Mark Anthony have announced they will divorce.
"We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision," Lopez's publicist announced in a statement on Friday.
"We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time."
The pair, both of whom are actors and singers, were one of Hollywood's most high-profile couples. The split was a surprise to many observers as they appeared together so regularly.
They have 3 year old twins together and recently announced a reality TV project, Q'Viva, they planned to make together this fall.
That program, in which they travel the world to highlight the best of Latin music and dance, is still scheduled to go ahead, with both performers on board.
Both of Puerto Rican heritage, Lopez and Anthony knew each other for years before they married in 2004.
Anthony had previously been married to former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres, while Lopez had been married twice before and had a high-profile breakup with actor Ben Affleck before settling down with Anthony.
Lopez released her latest album, titled Love?, this year and also began as a judge at american idol a position that renew her past popularity. When Anthony performed on the show, she danced in the background.
